Trek for Teesside

Trek for Teesside will be taking place between 22 May 2021 - 29 May 2021, where participants will:

  • Set their own challenge to complete during the week (i.e. to walk, run, cycle a certain distance which is challenging for them)

  • Track their progress through the week on social media using the hashtag #trekforteesside

  • Raise as much money as possible in sponsorship using the provided sponsor forms or set up a fundraising page through Headway Teesside's Virgin Money Giving page (click here)

Everybody who registers and takes part in Trek for Teesside will receive a medal from Headway Teesside in recognition of their efforts.  


Anybody and everybody is invited to take part regardless of ability levels, and we just ask that you set yourself a sensible challenge that won't put you or others at risk. It is free to take part in this event.

Sponsored Walk

Saturday 22nd May 2020 - POSTPONED

Due to the ongoing uncertainty around COVID-19, we have had to make the unfortunate decision to postpone this year's Sponsored Walk until next year. The event will now take place on 21 May 2022. We have contacted those already registered about refunds and registration for next year.

We are replacing this year's sponsored walk with a virtual event called #TrekForTeesside - See above for further event and registration details.

Drop-Ins & Meetings

Virtual Drop-ins


Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, we are unable to hold any meetings in person. We are however running a schedule of Virtual Drop-ins using the video conferencing service Zoom.

To take part, you do not need a Zoom account, and you simply need to follow the link provided for each meeting which you will find in the calendar to the right.


Virtual Drop-ins take place on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 1pm, and on the 4th Wednesday of every month at 11am.  

Anybody and everybody who wishes to join is welcome; these meetings offer an opportunity to connect and chat with others affected by brain injury, and we host the occasional quiz and other activities!
